It is almost four weeks after the state President Mr Cyril Ramaphosa had declared the lockdown in the country, but still some of the community members find it hard to adhere to the rules stipulated by disaster management Act.

Actonville SAPS had been working hard conducting operations in Watville and Actonville communities in order to discover any kind of irregular act that is against the law specifically Disaster Management Act. During one of the operations two suspects age between 24 and 29 were arrested for possession of alcohol.

The suspects were travelling with a private car in Wattville as the police stopped them and requested to search the car. While the police were searching the vehicle; different brands of alcohol ranging from spirit, lager, cider,  beer, and  vodka were uncovered inside the car trunk.

The two suspects are expected to appear in Benoni magistrate court on the 27 April 2020.

Rest assured that the three most popular South African law enforcement organisation namely; SAPS, Metro police, and SA troops will continue patrolling and arresting members of the communities who refused to live by the rules, said the Actonville spokesperson captain Mothapo.
