Open Discussion is an initiative by Nozi Langa, that intends to spark a conversation about emotional health and the challenges thereof, experienced by the youth of our country. She aims to speak towards understanding emotional intelligence and the power that comes with that, as this affects the decisions that we take in all the different parts of our lives.
Through this she challenged the outgoing phase of high school studends, gr11 and 12’s to write a 1 page letter to her and her team regarding what motivates them every single day, taking into consideration their personal circumstances, and how these situations affect them emotionally.
The first phase of this initiative has taken off in Gauteng, with Maphutha Secondary School in Tembisa and Alexandra High School on the 26 April 2019. The three chosen students p/school will get the opportunity to visit Plush Lash and Beauty Bar – Centurion, transported by Biza Rides, an ehailing transport service, for a couple of treatments as well as a life coach session that will address the challenges that they are faced with as stated in their letters.
She hopes that by doing so, she will be contributing back to her society in the most positive way that she possibly can and hopefully make a difference in the loves of our young people.
