The premiere of Gauteng David Makhura with the health MEC Dr Bandile Masuku visited Stjwetla informal settlement in Alexandra North of Joburg to screen and conduct covid-19 tests.
This is a settlement where a young man who tested positive for the pandemic resided. The man couldn’t self isolate and there are chances that he spread the deadly disease to other people. The man who’s originally from Limpopo further used public transport to travel home before commencement of lockdown.
The government has made arrangements for those that can’t self isolate and stations where Alex residents can receive sanitizer have been installed. One of the station is PAN and the residents have been urged to bring containers.
