Corona virus has made life tough for several people it can be either at their workplace or having no food at home. Security agencies which encompasses of the police and traffic officers who can’t like most people can’t work from home they need to be out in the streets where the virus is and interact with several people some having the virus and they need to protect themselves from such people.
Community of Alexandra is among those hard hit by the staying at home whilst there’s no food and means of bringing food have been cut.
AB InBev Foundation (ABIF) and the I Love Alex Project Steering Committee in partnership with HIVSA have donated food vouchers worth R350 000 on behalf of the Alexandra Community Members, 6500 cloth masks on behalf of law enforcement officers, Department of Social Development, Department of Education and SANCA (South African National Council on Alcoholism) and 10 000 surgical masks on behalf of health care workers working in Alexandra clinics.
The handover of the essentials was held at the Marlboro Alcohol Evidence Centre on Monday 10 August attended by esteemed guest from different departments including SANCA, Alexandra clinic, JMPD.
