The MDDA attended and part sponsored the Boss Moves Media’s 5th Girls and Women in Media workshop, which took place at the Equinox Leadership centre in Sandton on Friday night 15 November 2019. The platform was created by Ms Nonala Tose, founder of Boss Moves Media to empower young women and girls who are entering the media industry. The open conversations allowed women to share their experiences within the newsrooms across Southern Africa and young women can take learnings on how they tackled challenges they faced. The workshop had powerful speakers such as Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams. Ms Carmed Reddy, Ms Patricia Hlungwani, Faith Mangope and others.
