Actoville Station Commander Colonel Mashinini addressed members of SAPS, defence force, and other law enforcement agencies such as the metro Police during the Operation O kae molao Parade.
The purpose of the operation is to enforce adherence of the Disaster Management Act Regulations, including preventing of crime around Actonville and Wattville areas, said Colonel Mashinini.
The station commander emphasize that the shop owners (who fall under the essential service category) must also assist in monitoring social distance.
On the first day of implementing operation o kae molao seven suspect were arrested for contravention of the Disaster Management Act Regulations.
The suspects are expected to appear in Benoni regional court very soon.
