28 year old Thamsanqa Samacaka was stabbed to death on Sunday 9 June at around 23:00 on his way home from work. The family of the deceased espressed how hearth broken and shocked they were at the sudden death of Thamsanqa.
It is alleged that the victim was attacked by two men who robbed him of his belongings and stabbed him with what was believed to be a screwdriver like object. According to an eyewitness she heard a voice screaming to what sounded like a cry for help, when she looked her saw two men attacking the victim.
The 28 year olds body was found the next morning at the Alexandra High school at 2nd Ave John Brand Street.
According to the Alexandra police captain Stephen Malatji the deceased was stabbed in the chest and dead on the scene. A case of murder was open and police are still investigation. Furthermore, he pleaded with the community and eye witnesses to work hand in hand with the police to get the perpetrators behind bars.
